What form is the stick?
The PiperWai stick is a solid deodorant stick. At 2.7oz, you get 35% more product than the jar!
It has a lot of the same ingredients as the PiperWai creme, with Stearyl Alcohol added to make it more of a solid. Stearyl Alcohol is actually a plant derived wax, not an alcohol as we know of alcohol colloquially!
What does PiperWai smell like? Is it OK for men, women, and kids?
PiperWai has a light, gender-neutral, spa-fresh scent. It’s a bit minty, a bit citrusy, and not overwhelming. It’s truly a one-scent-fits-all! Since PiperWai neutralizes odor, the scent will dissipate throughout the day so you smell like nothing at all. The stick and the jar smell the same.
Is PiperWai cruelty free and vegan? What about gluten free?
Yes, yes, and yes!
Where is PiperWai made?
PiperWai will always be made in the USA!
Is PiperWai ok for sensitive skin or people sensitive to baking soda deodorants?
Yes! PiperWai was specifically formulated for sensitive skin when co-founder, Jess, experienced itchy red rashes caused by most other deodorants that she tried. Many people with sensitivities to other antiperspirants and baking soda-heavy deodorants tolerate PiperWai just fine. The baking soda content in PiperWai is at the threshold of effectiveness without causing irritation to the vast majority of people. If you experience an allergic reaction, please see below for our refund policy.
Is PiperWai safe for pregnant/breastfeeding women?
Lots of pregnant and breastfeeding women choose PiperWai over antiperspirant because of its clean ingredients and low percentage of essential oils. Each essential oil is diluted up to 0.1% and the entire essential oil blend makes up less than 1% of the overall formula, falling far below the <2% safe range. However, we understand that what you choose to use on your body during pregnancy or breastfeeding is a very personal decision that should be run by your doctor.

Ever wonder why you stink?
You have two different kinds of sweat glands on different parts of your body – the eccrine glands and the apocrine glands. Eccrine produce sweat with simply water and salt to cool your body, while apocrine glands secrete what’s known as “stress sweat”. Apocrine glands are on your feet, groin, and armpits, and they secrete sweat with an added protein molecule attached to it that the eccrine glands all over the rest of your body don’t have. Your sweat itself is actually odorless, but it starts to stink when the naturally occurring bacteria under your arms eats away at that protein! Your body produces more of this type of sweat when you eat certain foods or when you’re stressed, which is why stress sweat is the most offensive kind – that is, if you wear any other type of deodorant besides PiperWai!
PiperWai creates a pH balanced environment under your arms where that stinky bacteria cannot thrive, so your sweat remains odorless. It works so well because it actually neutralizes the odor instead of just covering it up!
Let’s talk about activated charcoal!
We use the same kind of medicinal grade activated charcoal you can take internally for gastrointestinal upset. Activated charcoal is SUPER absorbent – it absorbs odor, moisture, and toxins! This helps most people transition seamlessly from their clinical strength antiperspirant to PiperWai. No detox period necessary.
Of course, every body is different. But then again, so is PiperWai.
Why PiperWai? Because it works, naturally.
