Athletes We Love
In the spirit of the closing of the Olympic Games, we’re highlighting a few college athletes/future Olympians who are making headlines and making waves (sometimes literally). From the mat to the pool, from Stanford to Cornell… meet some of our favorite female athletes to keep an eye out in Paris 2024!
Mateah Roehl (she/her/hers)
Sport: Wrestling
School: North Central College
Mateah Roehl has been a female wrestler since 1st grade, where she grew up wrestling boys and battling sexism among practice partners as the only female. Now a college wrestler, Mateah is focused on giving back to younger female wrestlers. In fact, she coaches an all-girls wrestling practice in hopes of making them feel included in this sport. This past year she also was a double All-American as well as Academic AA.

Khary Pryce (she/her/hers)
Sport: Tennis
School: Cornell University
Khary Pryce plays for the women’s varsity tennis team at Cornell University where she also serves as the co-president on the student athlete advisory committee. At Cornell, she is in the Industrial Labor Relations school and is planning to graduate in 2022.

Jordan Raney (she/her/hers)
Sport: Water Polo
School: Stanford University
Jordan received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology and minor in English Literature from Stanford in 2018. She is a 2017 World Champion, 2019 Beach World Champion, and the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Team Alternate. She is completing her MBA online and pursuing her Master's degree in Sustainability at Stanford. Her dream is to make Paris 2024.

Zoe Kava (she/her/hers)
Sport: Tennis
School: Tufts University
Zoe Kava is from New York City, and plays for the women’s tennis team at Tufts University. Zoe just finished her freshman year, and is planning on studying political science and community health. She is obsessed with her dog, peloton, writing, and the New York Rangers!

Kaitlyn Davis (she/her/hers)
Sport: Women’s Basketball
School: Columbia University
Kaitlyn Davis is a junior on the women’s basketball team at Columbia University. Currently, she is studying Psychology with the aspirations of playing a fifth year of basketball and getting her MBA. Outside of school and basketball, she is an avid athlete, fashion enthusiast/creator and a twin!

Lucie Nordman (she/her/hers)
Sport: Women’s Swimming and Diving
School: Stanford University
Lucie is a rising senior pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Architectural Design with a passion for environmental justice and sustainability. In the pool, she’s represented the US in National Jr Team competitions including the Jr Pan Pacific Championships, the FINA Jr World Championships and World Cup. She specializes in Backstroke and Freestyle events and contributed to the NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving National Championship Title for Stanford in 2019. She loves swimming because it has taught her patience, tenacity, and perseverance.
